BROUGHT TO YOU BY

A true creative dream come true for this "new old guy" who's been in the game for over 54 years, my six-volume audio biopic, THE BOOK OF BENJAMIN, is a heartfelt, perhaps overly ambitious soul-essential, joy-filled chronicle of my career as a prolific yet largely obscure, behind the scene force to contemporary music – notably Blues, R&B, and R&R.

Before you start checking out some of the tracks and consider contributing to the development of what's been called "The Greatest Music Never Heard," I want to share with you how blessed I feel to have been part of history. During this time, these "folks that I'm brought to you by"…I got to know and learned invaluable musical skills and life lessons from the proverbial "who's who" of classic rock, R&B, and jazz. As you listen to The Book of Benjamin, time travel along to sessions and hangs with the who’s who...

Spirit, Wizard, Buddy MilesStevie Wonder, Three Dog Night, Blues Image, Iron Butterfly, Mike Pinera, Larry Rheinhart, Duane/Gregg and the Allman Brothers,  BB King, Johnny Winter, Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Maxxann Lewis, Seatrain, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, George Russell Composer, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Chambers Brothers, James Brown, Chuck Berry, Third Power, Tee Garden and Van Winkle, Ricky Nelson, Tommy Bolin, Dr. John, John Lennon, Bad Company, Al Kooper, King James Version (beginnings of Lynyrd Skynyrd), Carmine Appice, Steve Gadd, Jimmy Haslip, Max Middleton, Tim Bogert, Verdine White, Mark Stein, Willie Daffern, Billy Preston, Robert Plant, Glenn Hughes. “The Steve Lukather,” Dann Huff, Michael Landau, Tim Pierce, Keith Olsen, Jack Douglas, Andy Johns, Lee DeCarlo, Lee Keifer, The 3rd Street Record Plant LA, Ritchie Podolor, Steve Perry, Bonnie Bramlett, Mike Finnigan, Bekka Bramlett, Dallas Taylor, Chocolate Perry, Rufus, Stephen Stills, Steve Marriott, Ian McClagan, Small Faces, Bandit, Mickey Finn, Ian Wallace, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, and sometimes Deniro himself, and my main two guys, Jimi Hendrix and George Harrison.

Played, jammed, recorded, and/or toured with.

But most of all, having the opportunity to be around these incredible musicians, these incredible humans. Hanging out and getting to know them. Being given the privilege to absorb their talent and the gift of working with them...Just Mind-boggling.

This was our peer group. Our dinner club. You had to earn your way in. Once there…
